Our goal here at Kid Biz is for your School Age child to not only feel at home here in our program, but to thrive here as well. Our highly trained and qualified team of staff will supervise and assist your child in their studies from school in order to help them reach their fullest potential. We keep our schedule full to incorporate homework, art activities, outside play and much more.

• Fresh ingredients and additions for all areas to keep centers interesting and theme related
• Daily schedules and smooth transitions

• Biweekly themes and Lesson Plans that are aligned with the PA Common Core Standards for School Age children
• Homework and reading time with staff supervision and assistance
• Learning based biweekly cooking projects

• Fold in fun themed learning field trip in the surrounding Pittsburgh area (Examples: Carnegie Science Center, Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, Pittsburgh Aviary, etc.)
• Mix it with several “in-house” presentations from places like The Oglebay Zoo, Phipps Conservatory, The Pittsburgh Children’s Museum and more
• Add a dash of Student Based Clubs (every year these change to meet the interest of the children; past clubs have been Sewing, Woodworking, Karaoke and much more)

• All School Age children have access to computer time daily, as well as iPad and Kindle usage
• All programs are on a child lock mode and have child friendly applications installed

• A portfolio that has traveled with your child since the Infant Room and will continue through the School Age years
• Initial Assessment and “Getting to Know You and Your Child” meeting within the first 45 days of enrollment
• Quarterly Assessments and Parent/Teacher Conferences to set and achieve goals with families
• Monthly Newsletters and Calendars
